Wayne County Senior Games

This annual event features sporting events, a talent show, art exhibits and more. The art exhibit will be displayed at the Arts Council of Wayne County and features the work of Wayne County’s talented senior artists in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, drawing, knitting and textiles. 19th Annual Hal Plonk

Disability Awareness Walk

Sponsored by the Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities, the walk will be held Wednesday, May 6th at the St Paul United Methodist Church on 202 E. Chestnut St, Goldsboro. The line-up starts at 9:30a.m. with the five block walk beginning at 10a.m. The Eastern Wayne High School Band will perform and there will be refreshments for all, balloons and face-painting. Young Life 5k Dash on Ash

The 8th annual Dash on Ash starts and ends at the YL Office at 1104 E. Ash St. Completed entries and registration forms may be mailed to YL Wayne County, PO Box 1702, Goldsboro, NC 27533 or brought to the YL Office after May 1. Entries will be accepted the day of the race. All proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Young Life Summer Camp Scholarship program.
