Field of Honor Goldsboro, NC 2022 A Tribute to Service Above Self

The Goldsboro Rotary Club is pleased to present the 3rd Annual Field of Honor. In partnership with Wayne Community College, hundreds of United States flags will fly on the lawns of Wayne Community College in A Tribute to Service Above Self. Goldsboro Rotarians bring their Field of Honor® flag display to the heart of eastern North Carolina to honor those who, by their lives, honor the flag.

Flags on display may be dedicated to show support and honor to active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and neighbors, in a tangible and visible way. Identified by special tags, these flags may be sponsored for $40, and the flag, with its tag, will be received as a memento following the event. Proceeds will raise funds to support charitable programs of Rotary International and the Goldsboro Club.

The Goldsboro Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships, and the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Please show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

The display is open to all without charge September 15th -November 17th with an opening ceremony Thursday, September 15th at 1p.m. at Wayne Community College.

While there will be lighting on the flags, the field will be open during day light hours only for your safety.

The flags will be set up in a grid pattern with a tag on each flag marking its location. The location will be indexed, and the index will be available at the sponsor sign and onsite through the duration of the event with the closing ceremony scheduled for November.

Purchase your flag in honor or in memory of someone whose life honors or has honored the flag. We have a limited number of flags, so please order your flag quickly. Go to www.goldsbororotary.org/fieldofhonor and click on Field of Honor® and purchase your flag today.
