July Events at the Wayne County Museum:
Sat July 2nd 10:30am Free monthly Downtown History Walk The walking tour meets in the lobby of the Museum and lasts about 1.5 hours. The tour is guided by our director and will cover the history of Goldsboro, and various historic sites and buildings downtown. Please wear comfy shoes. (weather permitting) Sat. July 2nd, 1pm-3 pm Free Stars and Stripes Children's Celebration It's Lady Liberty's B-Day party! A Children's reader's theater begins at
1 pm, followed by patriotic activities and crafts, and free ice cream! Sat. July 23rd, 8pm Free Annual "Movies on the Lawn Party". This year's movie will be a Thomas the Tank engine feature tying in with our railroad exhibit. Kids activities and art before the show. Please bring your own lawn chair. There will be a food truck onsite vending concessions. Sat. July 30th at 10:30am Free monthly Black History Walk The walking tour meets in the lobby of the Museum and lasts about 1.5 hours. The tour is guided by our director and will examine some of the Black History sites like Goldsboro's old "Little Washington" neighborhood located near downtown. Please wear comfy shoes.
