Meet Habitat’s Ayisha Razzak-Ellis
Habitat of Wayne County is excited to launch a special series highlighting the incredible leaders guiding our mission and vision—our Board of Directors!
Each member brings unique expertise, passion, and dedication to help us achieve our goals and make an impact in our community. Over the coming days, we’ll share their stories, achievements, and insights that shape the future of our organization.
Meet our Board Vice President, Ayisha Razzak-Ellis. Ayisha currently manages the Jobs Plus self-sufficiency grant for the Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro. With a passion for helping others, she joined the Habitat for Humanity Board because of a deep belief in the power of affordable housing to foster self-sufficiency and community strength. Originally from Costa Rica and later Kernersville, NC, she moved to Wayne County in 2018 due to her husband's job and loves calling Goldsboro home. When not at work or volunteering with Habitat, she enjoys reading, sleeping, and spending time with family. Guided by the words of Gandhi, "Be the change you wish to see in the world," she encourages the community to get involved and support their neighbors.
Follow us and stay tuned to learn more about the brilliant minds behind the decisions that drive us forward.
