My Heart is Full - By Kriquette Davis

Back in June, when I was diagnosed with cancer, one of my first concerns was about Kriquette’s Kidz. Earlier in the year, I gathered a group of volunteers-Kriquette’s Krew- that all have servant’s hearts. So, when I got the diagnosis, I scheduled a meeting so we could talk about the upcoming events. Without hesitation, they all jumped in and got to work.

Kriquette’s Kidz is not my “job”. Kriquette’s Kidz is a part of my heart. My job, which I am extremely passionate about, is as a mortgage loan officer for Motto Mortgage Complete, that allows me to serve others in another arena. Kriquette’s Kidz is one of the very few non-profit organizations that doesn’t have any paid employees. It is 100% volunteer led. I am very proud of that fact. I am also very humbled to work side by side with Kriquette’s Krew that is doing such amazing work in this community.

Our Christmas outreach, Kriquette’s Christmas Kidz, is on Sunday, December 4. The Bridge Church has been extremely generous in allowing us to use their Princeton, Goldsboro and Mount Olive locations. On that day, we will serve 82 families. We will have around 250 volunteers that will serve as the hands and feet of Jesus that day. There will be lots of love shown that day and an abundance of smiles! I can’t wait!

Martin Luther King Jr. said: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is “What are you doing for others?” So... what ARE you doing for others? Always remember: Small Acts Change the World!
