Wayne County Museum’s April 2025 Events
Friday, April 4, 7-8:30pm: Poetry Jam at the Wayne County Museum. Come share, come listen. Whether you dabble, are a prolific poet or enjoy being in the presence of community, we invite you to take part in the next Poetry Jam. If you wish to share, either bring a written copy with you or email your entries in advance to events@waynemuseum.org. Warm up your snapping fingers. This event is free to the public.
Saturday, April 5, 2-4pm: Presentation on Seymour Johnson AFB’s Lesser Known Wing - the 916th Air Refueling Wing Saturday, April 12, 8-12pm: Buildings & Grounds Workday at the Museum. We welcome your time and talents to preserve what was once the clubhouse of the Goldsboro Woman’s Club. If you have any questions about how you can volunteer, email volunteer@waynemuseum.org.
Saturday, April 12, 1-3pm: May Day Festival. Part of our Kids educational event series. Celebrate the arrival of spring! This kid and family-friendly event will start at 1pm with a reader’s stage play performed by local students. The play will be followed by dancing a traditional Maypole, activities, arts and crafts, photo ops, face painting, snacks, and more. Free – no registration is required.
