The neighborhood I live in needs drivers to obey the subdivision speed limit of 25mph
Parking is no longer a 2-hour limit in Downtown Goldsboro, for now!
Where I live, we need a load of Gravel Rocks because when it rains very hard we have a little river in the yard.
It’s getting more ridiculous at our local Post Offices each and every day. I went to one in Wayne County the other day. People were waiting out the doors and they only had one clerk! That clerk said they have been short-handed for a while and that she is the only one waiting at the counter. I mailed a package that day, roughly 300 miles away, priority mail, and it took 12 days to get there!! I’m so glad that I paid extra for that special service!! And guess what, Postal rates are going up again in early 2025 for their great services! The new President has stated that he may dissolve the Post Office and start over. It can’t come soon enough for me!
What part of “turn your lights on in the fog,” do people in Wayne County not understand? It is so dangerous not having lights on when you cannot even see the car in front of you!
Just received an increase in my car insurance, homeowners insurance and health insurance. When is this nightmare going to end?!
I love the burgers and fries at 5-Guys. $20 for two burgers and fries does seem a little high though.
We have 40 houses in our subdivision. Our ditch doesn’t drain. I called the county to see if they could do something about it. They said that I live on a private street, which I never knew, and there is nothing they can do about it. So much for paying county taxes, huh?

Just wanted to reach out to the young gentleman that helped me at Pet Smart the other day. I had bought 2-40lb pails of cat litter. I got them to my car but unable to lift them out of shopping cart. This guy was walking to his car and I asked him if he minded unloading them into my car. He did so without hesitation. He will never know how much I appreciated his kindness. Thank you again!
